Om Daily Fiction

About Daily Fiction (english)

An experience of condensed time and the notion that nothing else than this moment exists.

DANS online, Terpsichore

Daily Fiction creates choreographic stage art focused on transformation, presence and humor. The work strives for bodily integrated reflection on contemporary existential conditions, seeking an extended experience of the daily conscious, in a different presence letting a new logic appear.

Being part of an accelerating world, spending more and more time in virtual spaces, Daily Fiction insists on exploring the intimate and exclusive potential in stage art as a live art form, letting the analogue meeting between audience, performer and piece resonate.

Daily Fiction works in a nomadic or spirally work concept, involving scientists, audience and fellow artists in the creative process. This ongoing exchange can equally to the performances be seen as part of the art work, the artistic exploration.

Daily Fiction is a self producing company in the independent field in Danish stage art, cooperating with a.o. Bådteatret, Forsøgsstationen and Dansehallerne.

Auteur and performer Tora Balslev is behind most of Daily Fictions artistic works, created in cooperation with a wide range of other artist.

Den performative event `All the time in the world´ (2019) fokuserer på jordens historie og tidsligheden i vores mineral ophav.

Dance of Imagination & Transformation

Dance of I&T is a movement practice that unlocks the creative potential of your body and
imagination. It is a guided free form movement that takes inspiration from Butoh (Japanese dance
theatre), BMC (Body Mind Centering), Tai Chi and other somatic forms.

The practice works with an altered state of mind and can have healing aspects as well as set
intuitive creative flow free. The movement sessions will take place in Nature, seeking inspiration in the atmosphere, elements,
movements and forms present there.

CORONA TIMES: We will keep distance getting the introduction and be dancing in each our
selected nature spot. With a max of 9 participants the training is suited to the current situation.

Dance of I&T is led by Mette Aakjær and Tora Balslev. In their work the two artists investigate
possibilities of dialogue between the human and ”other bodies” of the physical world. The process
involves bodily explorations of various states of being. The practice wrestles daily perception, and
offers peeks into other logics of reality.

Dance of I&T - in Nature - starts up in spring 2020 at sites close to Aarhus and Copenhagen. We
will be moving at different places from session to session. You will get info on where to meet, when
signing up. The training requires no previous training and is for everyone interested in exploring
somatic practice / dance rooted in inner sensory perception.

Duration: 1,5 hour (sometimes 2, if at far-off sites)
Prize: Free of charge during a start up period. Optional donations at mobile pay.
Bring: Water, clothes and footwear that suit the wheather and keeps you warm, also when moving
slow.
